Kirpputorilöytöjä
Ylläolevia kuvia ja ideoita katsellessani muistui mieleeni oma työni Vaasan asuntomessuilta - mitä kaikkea sitä voikaan keksiä ja käyttää hyväkseen! Messuilla sisustusprojektina oli kalustaa kokonainen omakotitalo kirpputoritavaroilla ja kaikki huonekalut ja sisustustavarat ovatkin SPR:n kirpparilta talven 2007/08 aikana kerättyjä. Huonekalut maalattiin ja tuunasin ne sitten ideoihini sopivaksi. Seinällä poseeravat omat esivanhempani, tarrat teetin mainostoimistossa pienen pienistä silhuettikuvista. Sukupuun keksin tehdä 60-luvun lipastoon: siihen tehtiin reiät koivunrunkoja varten ja oksiin kiinnitin sitten kuvia omasta perheestäni. Vanhoilla pitsiverhoilla koristelin kattovalaisimia, päällystin sohvapöydän, koristelin makuuhuoneen lipaston jne. jne. Oli todella hauska (ja todella isotöinen...) projekti. Tässä näitä silloisia ideoitani:
I decorated a whole house in summer 2008 with the flea market finds. I collected during the winter 07/08 furnitures and decoration items and pimped them up to fit my ideas.
I used an old bed as a second sofa.
The chairs was from a night club and new covers was sewn from old hotelroom beddings. They were white so I dyed them pink. The table was from a boutique.
I sew rather many gold buttons on this velvet pillow.
I coated an old coffee table with lace curtains.
